On December 8, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) organized a workshop titled "Climate Change Mitigation, Adaption and Net Zero" as part of the ERASMUS+ FOREST project. The FOREST project (Future ORiented chEmiSTry) is a Master's program development initiative in the field of future-oriented chemistry, funded by ERASMUS of the European Union, in which the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical and Education is a participating member.
The workshop was attended and hosted by Dr. Huynh Nguyen Anh Tuan (HCMUTE), four experts, and over 100 students from the Faculty of Chemical & Food Technology. The presentations at the workshop included:
1. "Fuel Cells: A Role in Climate Change Mitigation and Renewable Energy" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thanh Van, Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Resources and Environment.
2. "Assessment of Livelihood Vulnerability Index on Climate Change in Vinh Cuu District" by Dr. Nguyen Thi Tinh Au, HCMUTE.
3. "Optimizing Agricultural Biomass Treatment Design for Energy and CO2 Emission Efficiency" by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, HCMUTE.
4. "R&D a Digital Integrated Management System (IMS) for Collecting E-waste in Hue City" by MSc. Nguyen Ha Trang, HCMUTE.
The workshop aimed to provide an opportunity for speakers to share research and information related to climate change, renewable energy, emission reduction, and development of electronic waste management systems. Additionally, it contributed to further strengthening the activities of the project and deepening the collaborative relationship among the project participants.
